Funding Your Music: Grants & Crowd Funding
August 23rd, 7-9pm at Notes

During our 2nd session, hosts Brian Penick and Joey Hendrickson discuss Grants and Crowdfunding sources of funding alongside artists and funding directors in Columbus, including: Alison Barret (The Greater Columbus Arts Council), Andrew Lien (Launch Labs), Marshall Shorts (Create Control Fest), and Anthony Mossburg (artist).

(All sessions topics were selected from a very recent survey that you can still take here!)

Premise: For all musicians who Live Your Passion Like You Mean Business... this workshiop series is for you. It's about time to discuss independent musicians as business owners who are working to create value within the constraints of a disorganized industry.

During these sessions, we'll touch on traditional and untraditional revenue streams, share tools for stacking renenue, and ideas for where new revenue may exist and how musicians may be able to go after it. Our vision: We believe local musicians are the creators, entreprenuers, and drivers of value in the new music industry, who can fill gaps that the national music industry has left behind.
