Linda Dachtyl - Organ
Linda is a Chicken Coup/Summit Records recording artist having released three CDs nationally , “Blue Bop” (2006) , “For Hep Cats” (2008) and “A Late One” (2015).
Chicken Coup Records is owned by international B3 organist Tony Monaco. Linda is a Hammond Organ USA artist, endorsing the digital Hammond XK3-C console organ.
In addition to her organ group, she plays Hammond organ with vocalist/tenor saxophonist Chip Willis, multiple keyboards with the eclectic art rock band “Eskip” and drums with the popular local hard rock cover band, “Uncle Fester”.
She also is a music educator having released two organ instructional DVDs through Tony Monaco’s Mother Hen keyboard education division and taught at Ohio Wesleayan University and Kenyon College.
Don Hales - Guitar
He is one of those jazz musicians almost too good to be true and is no stranger to Columbus jazz audiences. Hales grew up in a Toledo neighborhood where he was exposed to a wide variety of ethnic and regional music. He taught himself to play guitar and was tutored by Rusty Bryant while playing in his band with jazz vocalist Nancy Wilson. Hales went on to tour with the saxophone great Eddie Harris and organist Bill Doggett of “Honky Tonk” fame. Locally, he played for many years at Monaco’s Palace with Tony Monaco. Don released “Unified String Theory” on Chicken Coup/Summit Records featuring Tony Monaco which received national airplay. Don is also a sought out instructor on guitar and theory having taught at Capital University and currently is teaching privately at various music studios.
Cary Dachtyl - Drums
Along with his duties as percussion instructor and director of the Kenyon Percussion Ensemble, Cary Dachtyl is also owner and editor of Per-Mus Publications, a sheet music publishing company specializing in music for percussion. He also owns and operates Pterodactyl Productions, a recording studio in Columbus specializing in the recording of acoustic percussion and analog keyboards.
