The revitalization of Downtown Columbus continues with the opening of Copious, a 21,000 square foot facility in the Brewery District, featuring an event space, restaurant and bar, and nightclub.
Copious, and the below-ground music venue, Notes, will light up the neighborhood, joining other new additions in the area through the renovation of the historic McGowan Building, a neo-classic structure at 520 South High Street, just south of the I-70/71 freeway.
Copious will serve to “feed your soul” in every way, through locally-sourced creations in the restaurant, a special wine, the feel of a neighborhood bar/lounge, attending an elegant reception or exciting party in the banquet space, or through experiencing an eclectic mix of music in our world-class music venue, seating nearly 200. Images created by local artists will be featured in a rotating, gallery-like setting in the restaurant.
Copious and Notes are destinations – where individuals and their friends come on a regular basis to dine, to have a drink, hear the best in local, regional and national entertainment of all styles, and enjoy a party, reception or business gathering. Residents and visitors are looking for quality experiences that are fun and memorable. Copious reflects the diverse and welcoming spirit of Columbus and the contemporary feel of one of the nation’s great cities.
Columbus deserves a place like this – now we have it.
Copious makes its home in the old McGowan Building—a neoclassical brick and limestone edifice in Columbus' historic Brewery District. More than 21,000 sq. ft. of exposed brick, hand-hewn timbers and wrought iron railings give it a warm, welcoming feel. Our valet parking makes it convenient for dinner, drinks or a late-night show at Notes.
